The Clergy Letter Project & Evolution Weekend
The Clergy Letter Project began as a position statement signed by over 10,000 members of the clergy worldwide endorsing a fruitful integration of religious faith with a modern scientific understanding of the universe, including evolutionary theory. As part of this effort The Clergy Letter Project sponsors Evolution Weekend, during which hundreds of churches across the country host special events designed to increase public awareness and understanding of the positive relationship between science and religion. Evolution Weekend 2009 will be take place February 13-15.
